No special type of CD drive is required to create compressed clips from audio CDs. Just place an audio CD in the tray and launch Grip - if you're connected to the Internet, Grip will look-up the name of the audio CD as well as the individual song titles.

If a particular CD is unknown to the online CDDB database, you'll need to manually enter the details of each song.

Select one or more songs to rip by right-clicking with the mouse. If a song is double-clicked with the left mouse button it will start playing - Grip can also be used to play audio CDs.
